The York Rite Leadership is a Center of Excellence that delivers executive-class leadership instruction to York Rite leaders, emphasizing continuous improvement and coaching grounded in Masonic principles.
Our vision is to see every Masonic organization led by confident, capable, and compassionate leaders who understand themselves, their teams, and how to communicate effectively to accomplish their mission.
The program brings together faculty with over a century of combined instruction, mentoring, and leadership experience — Masonic and professional alike — to deliver perspectives that are immediately relevant to our unique environment.
Sid Dorris requested that John Palmer develop a 20-minute leadership presentation for departmental conferences. The positive reception prompted expansion into a half-day, then a full-day "High Potential Leadership Course."
The program evolved into a full "Emerging Leader" curriculum with multiple instructors. A three-level system developed, culminating in medallion recognition for graduates.
Six courses organized into three Bodies of Knowledge serve Masonic leaders across the United States, with both online and in-person delivery options.
Enhanced pre/post-course materials, a resource library, video tutorials, and a Masonic Leadership Coach certification program are in development.
